I recommend everyone develop a GOATA practice. GOATA is a simple and powerful training system that will enhance anything else you are doing. Click Below for a free program or jump right in to the follow-along video playlist. The stretch video on this page is a great entry point in to the system and only takes 10 minutes.

I've condensed years of education and decades of experience into my blog. Here is some guidance on where to start.

If You're Moderately Active but New to the Gym

Start here, with the first link where I discuss various practices related to training and how you might expect to progress through them over time. Also check out "Training vs Working Out" to get a better idea of how to get the most out of your time in the gym and what to avoid.

If You're Experienced with Exercise

You might be most interested in programming for strength and hypertrophy, discussed in the first link below, and my view on exercise selection, their variations, and how to choose between them discussed in the second link.
